FCC "Our Dream"
This is a dream that no Filipino dream has gone before in the tri-country area... It is the ultimate goal of the Filipino Community Center (FCC) to have a community center complex building, wherein all Filipino organizations in the tri-county area can hold their meetings, social and recreational activities, and also an indoor basketball facility to accommodate the interest of the young Filipino-Americans and their parents interested in sports. The FCC center complex building will cost approximately $1.2 million dollars for a 30,000 square feet facility. The officers, members and concerned Filipinos, and concerned Filipino-American friends are constantly on the move and at best always working hard to raise funds for the building fund.
PLAN DESCRIPTION Upon arriving, you will drive up to a nicely designed brick facade under the porta-cache. This 35'x 100' reception/administration area houses a spacious reception lobby, an office, conference room, men's and women's restrooms with showers, and a large kitchen facility for serving the functions in the multi-purpose area. In the 150'x200'multi-purpose area, the high ceiling and spacious open area will accomodate various athletic events such as basketball, volleyball and other in-door sports. Opposite the athletic facility, another area is designed for social events with the 30'x60' stage as the focal point for cultural presentations, concerts and band performances. The dance floor and the surrounding area will be equipped with folding chairs and will be suited for parties, balls or simply eat-in after watching a nice sporting event. The back stage will consist of dressing room, an aerobics room, weight room, storage and mechanical room. The mezzanine floor will house more offices, the lighting and sound room overlooking the stage, and the balcony areas on the wings suited for lounging and viewing athletic and social performances from an aerial view.
